Set delivery dates on your invoices

The delivery date on an invoice can be set to display the order fulfillment (shipping) date.

Depending on your local legislation, the delivery date may have legal implications. For example, it can mark the start of the warranty period or determine the date of the taxable supply for VAT collection purposes.

Sufio can automatically set the delivery date as the order fulfillment date on new invoices.

Change the default delivery dates

To change the invoice delivery date for new invoices:

  1. In your Sufio account, go to the Settings → Documents page.
  2. Scroll down to the Document numbering and defaults → Dates section.
  3. From the dropdown under Delivery date, select one of the options in the section below.
  4. Click on the Update settings button at the top of the page to apply the changes.

Do not set delivery date

Sufio will not set a delivery date. No delivery date will be displayed on your documents.

Set to order fulfillment

For newly created invoices, Sufio will set the delivery date to the date when the order was marked as fulfilled in the Shopify admin.

If the order is fulfilled in multiple fulfillments, the delivery date will be set to the date of the first fulfillment.
