Who can become a Sufio partner or affiliate?
Our partner and affiliate program is for those who support ecommerce merchants. This includes Shopify agencies, developers, consultants, technology partners, and content creators who work with online stores. If you help merchants build, manage, or grow their ecommerce businesses and want to recommend Sufio as a reliable invoicing solution, we'd love to work with you.
How do I refer a client to Sufio?
You can refer a client to Sufio in two main ways:
Share your referral link: After joining the affiliate program, you'll get a unique referral link. You can share this link with your audience or clients directly, on your website, blog, email, or social media. When a client signs up for Sufio through this link, the referral will be automatically added to your affiliate account.
Submit the referral manually: You can also manually add referrals in the partner dashboard if a client installed Sufio without using your referral link. These referrals are reviewed and verified by the Sufio Partnerships team before they are approved.
Once the referred client becomes a customer, the referral will appear in your affiliate dashboard, where you can track the commission.
Can I refer myself to Sufio and earn commission?
No. Self-referrals are not eligible for commission. The partner and affiliate program is intended for referring Shopify merchants to Sufio.
Do clients need to sign up through my referral link for the referral to be tracked?
The simplest way to add and track referrals is through your unique referral link, which automatically adds the referral to your account. However, if your client didn't use your referral link, you can still add the referral manually in your partner dashboard. Once submitted, the Sufio Partnerships team will review it.
Can I add a client manually if they didn’t sign up through my referral link?
Yes. If a client installs Sufio without using your referral link, you can submit the referral manually in the partner dashboard by providing some basic information about the client. After review by the Sufio Partnerships team, the client may be added as your referral and become eligible for commission.
Can I receive commission if my client already has a Sufio account?
No. If a merchant has already been using Sufio (for example, for several months or years) and is only later added to your affiliate account, referral commissions cannot be applied retroactively.
The affiliate program is designed to reward partners for bringing new customers to Sufio, so commissions begin only from the point when a new customer signs up through your referral link or is approved as a referral after manual submission. Existing Sufio users are not eligible for backdated or retroactive commissions.
How long do I earn commission for a referred client, and what happens if they change their plan?
You will earn commission for as long as the referred merchant remains an active paying customer. If the merchant upgrades or downgrades their plan, the commission will be adjusted based on the price of their current subscription.
Where can I track my referrals, commissions, and payouts?
You can track your referrals, commissions, and payout information in your partner affiliate dashboard.
When and how do affiliate payouts work?
Affiliate commissions are paid once per month, typically on the 7th of the month, via PayPal. Other payment methods are currently not supported. Payments are issued once your affiliate balance reaches $25. If your balance is below this threshold, it will carry over until the minimum is met and then be paid out.
How is the affiliate commission calculated?
We calculate the commission based on the net monthly subscription amount earned by Sufio. This amount excludes credit card and billing fees charged by Shopify and Stripe and any additional e-invoicing fees.
