If you're building a store on a Shopify development store, for example as an agency building stores for clients, you can use every Sufio feature for free for as long as it stays a development store. When the store goes live, you choose a paid plan and keep everything you've set up.
A development store is treated as if it's always in its free trial:
- Unlimited invoices and pro forma invoices
- Every feature unlocked, whatever plan is selected
- No charges and no expiry date
While your store is a development store, Sufio shows a banner explaining that you may not be able to upgrade to a paid plan.
Note
Sufio recognizes development stores from the information Shopify provides about your store. If Shopify changes your store's status, Sufio updates automatically.
When your development store becomes a live store, its unlimited access ends. You're taken to the plans page to choose a paid plan, just like a new merchant, and billing starts from that point.
Everything else carries over:
- Your documents, settings, and templates stay exactly as they were.
- You aren't charged for the time your store was a development store.
- Invoices created while it was a development store stay accessible and never count toward your allowance.
