Sufio is billed through Shopify's app billing, so the Sufio plan you choose appears as an app charge on your regular Shopify bill. Shopify collects the payment, and you manage your plan in your Sufio account.
In this article, we'll discuss:
- How you're billed
- E-invoicing usage charges
- Where to view your Sufio charges
- Why each store needs its own Sufio account
Sufio plans are billed monthly, month to month. We don't offer annual plans.
- Your billing date is set on the day you choose a paid plan, not the day you install Sufio, and it stays the same from then on. If you choose a plan during your free trial, your first charge comes when the trial ends.
- All charges are in USD, whatever country your store is in. Shopify may show a converted amount on your bill. This only applies to your Sufio charge, and the invoices you send can still be issued in your customers' currencies.
- The charge appears on your Shopify bill, not as a separate card payment.
If Shopify is required to charge tax in your region, it adds tax to your app charges, including Sufio. Tax appears on your Shopify bill, which you can download from the Settings → Billing page in your Shopify admin.
Note
Shopify bills apps on their own 30-day cycle, separate from your Shopify subscription. Because the two cycles don't line up, a Sufio charge can appear on a Shopify bill that covers different dates than your Sufio billing period.
On every plan, e-invoicing is billed per use at $0.05 for each document submitted to an e-invoicing network, such as Peppol. This charge is separate from your monthly plan, and your spending on it is capped at a maximum amount based on your plan.
When you start using e-invoicing, Shopify asks you to approve the usage charge and its spending cap (the same way you approve your plan). Usage charges are added to your Shopify bill, so usage from one Sufio billing period can be split across two Shopify bills.
To view your Sufio charges in Shopify:
- In your Shopify admin, go to the Settings → Billing page.
- Click View current charges to see charges that will appear on your next bill.
- Check the Past bills section to see charges you've already paid.
To view your current plan, go to the Settings → Account & Billing page in your Sufio account.
If a charge doesn't look right, for example a prorated charge after an upgrade, you can troubleshoot your Sufio charges step by step.
Each Shopify store needs its own Sufio account and plan, so if you run three stores, you'll have three Sufio accounts. With Sufio Plus for Shopify Plus brands, each storefront still has its own account, but billing for all of them is handled through one main store.
Access to your Sufio account is managed in Shopify. Anyone with the Apps and channels permission on your store can open Sufio, so review your staff permissions in Shopify to control who has access.
To choose, upgrade, or downgrade your Sufio plan, you need to approve it in Shopify. Only the store owner or staff with the Approve app charges permission can do this.
