Sufio charges on paused, frozen, or deactivated stores

All Sufio billing runs through Shopify, so what happens to your Sufio charges depends on your store's status in Shopify. In short, pausing your store doesn't cancel Sufio, but closing it does.

In this article, we'll discuss:

  • Paused stores
  • Frozen stores
  • Closed or deactivated stores

Paused stores

Pausing your store doesn't stop Sufio charges. Sufio doesn't treat a paused store differently, and Shopify keeps billing app subscriptions while your store is on the Pause and Build plan.

If you don't want to be charged while your store is paused, uninstall Sufio before you pause it. Your data is kept, and reinstalling Sufio takes you back to your account.

Frozen stores

If Shopify freezes your store, for example, because a bill wasn't paid, it freezes your Sufio charge too. Sufio checks the status of your charge every night, and when the charge is no longer active, your account is put on hold:

When your store is reactivated and the charge is active again, your account comes back automatically and orders start syncing. You don't need to do anything in Sufio.

Note

Before reactivating a frozen store, Shopify may ask you to pay two bills: the unpaid bill that caused the freeze and a bill for charges from before the freeze, which can include Sufio.

Closed or deactivated stores

When you close or deactivate your Shopify store, Shopify automatically uninstalls all your apps, including Sufio. This cancels your Sufio subscription, so you don't need to uninstall Sufio first.

Any outstanding Sufio charges are charged when your store closes.
