When customers receive invoice emails from your store, the sender address should be easy to recognize and aligned with your brand.
Sufio creates and sends invoices and related documents for Shopify stores. By default, these emails are sent from the sender email address set up in your online store.
You can also set a custom sender email address, such as invoices@acmeshop.com, to choose which address appears as the sender of your documents.
Optionally, you can add a custom display name, such as ACME Shop Invoices. Your customers will see this name in the From field in their email client.
To set a custom sender email address:
- In your Sufio account, go to the Settings → Emails page.
- In the Sender email field, enter a sender email address and, optionally, a display name:
- If you enter only the sender email address, for example,
invoices@acmeshop.com, your account name will be used as the sender display name. - If you enter a custom display name and sender email address, for example,
ACME Shop Invoices <invoices@acmeshop.com>, both the display name and sender email address will be used.
- If you enter only the sender email address, for example,
- Click Update settings to apply the changes.
- If your new sender email address uses a different domain, you may need to authenticate your email domain.
When you first set up your Sufio account, documents are sent to your customers from an email address such as your-shop-name@sufioemail.com.
Replies to these emails are still delivered to the Sender email address set up in your Sufio account.
To show your custom sender email address as the sender, you need to authenticate your email domain. This allows Sufio to send emails from your domain and helps your emails comply with your DMARC policy.
If you have already authenticated an email domain in Sufio and then change the Sender email address to one with a different domain, you will need to authenticate the new email domain as well.
