Let customers view invoices from new customer accounts in Shopify

We’re excited about the opportunity to work with Shopify as an official launch partner for the new Customer account UI extensions.

Sufio has long offered the option to include links to invoices on customer account pages. It's a popular feature among Shopify merchants because it allows their customers to view or download invoices for past orders without the need to sift through their inbox.

With Shopify’s rollout of the new customer accounts and the customer account UI extensions, this feature is now better than ever!

The customer account UI extensions are like power-ups, allowing you to embed powerful self-serve features directly into the customer account page, while maintaining consistent branding and seamless personalization.

How does the customer account extension work?

After the customer logs into their customer account in your Shopify store, the Orders page will display a list of their previous orders.

The new Sufio extension allows you to show a View invoice or Download invoice action link for each order.

These action links will also appear on the Order Status page, which shows the full details of each individual order.

• The View invoice link redirects the customer to an online version of their Sufio invoice, letting them download or print it.
• The Download invoice link allows the customer to download a PDF version of the document directly.

For added customization, we’ve included the option to choose whether invoice links are displayed for all orders or only for specific ones based on their status.

The extension automatically displays these action links in one of seven supported languages, based on the language the customer uses in your store. This is especially useful for stores selling in multiple languages, like those based in Canada or Belgium.
