A credit note (also known as credit memo) is a document issued in the case of a refund or order cancellation as a statement that a certain amount has been credited by the seller to a customer’s account.
In some countries, issuing a credit note is required by law so some customers might require it from you in case of returns or refunds.
To date, Sufio allows you to create credit notes only manually.
To create a new credit note:
- Under the Invoices tab in your Sufio account, click on Credit notes.
- Click the + New Credit Note button.
Credit notes can also be created directly from invoices that need to be amended.
To create a credit note from an invoice:
- Open the invoice.
- Click on More → Create Credit Note.
