When to create invoices

In Sufio, you can have your invoices created automatically from orders in your BigCommerce store or create invoices manually, independently from your orders.

Automatically created invoices

Sufio syncs with your store and automatically creates invoices based on the data taken from your orders.

By default, Sufio creates invoices for all orders placed in your BigCommerce store. If you wish for a different setup, Sufio offers various other options as to when invoices get created.

Create invoices for all orders

Invoices are created for all new orders placed in your BigCommerce store. This is the default setup.

Create invoices for paid orders

Invoices are created only for orders that are paid. An order can be paid by a customer during the checkout or you can manually mark it as paid in your BigCommerce admin.

Create invoices for fulfilled orders

Invoices are created only for orders that are fulfilled (shipped), that is when the order is marked as fulfilled in your BigCommerce admin.

Create invoices for unpaid orders

Invoices are created only for orders that have not been paid during the checkout. This option is suitable for stores that offer custom payment methods such as net-30 terms, bank deposits or cash on delivery.

Create invoices for wholesale orders

Invoices are created only for orders that are placed by wholesale (B2B) customers, that is, those who are members of a customer group “wholesale” in your BigCommerce store.

Do not create invoices

Invoices are not created automatically. This option is suitable for stores that want to create their invoices only manually. If you choose this option, your Sufio account will still contain all the data of your products and customers so you do not need to fill in these details manually when creating an invoice.

Need help?

By default, Sufio creates invoices for all orders in your store. If you wish to change this setup to a different one, please contact our support.

Caution

You can edit and update an automatically created invoice in your Sufio dashboard but please note that editing an invoice in Sufio will not update the respective order in your BigCommerce store.

Manually created invoices

You can create invoices manually in your Sufio account by clicking on the New Invoice button.

Invoices created manually in Sufio are independent of the orders in your store. Creating a manual invoice does not create an order in your BigCommerce store.

Since your Sufio account is synced with your store, creating an invoice manually is quite easy; you can fill it out with the help of pre-selected options listed in dropdown menus in each invoice field.

Manually created invoices can either be numbered separately from the invoices created automatically, or they can follow the same numbering sequence.
