Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is dedicated to showing our mother how much she means to us—whether that’s with breakfast in bed, a handmade card, or increasingly with a nice gift.

It’s a very big date in the retail calendar—planned sales for 2022 were estimated at $31.7 billion—so ecommerce stores should think seriously about how they can successfully pitch to those looking to treat their mothers to something nice.

Most shopping is done immediately before the holiday, so it’s important to keep those deals going right until the big date to maximize sales. It also means that people are more likely to splurge on next-day delivery, so if they’re cutting it fine and see a good deal at your store, it might just be their saving grace.

And remember, it’s celebrated at a different time of year in the UK, where it’s always on the Sunday that falls three weeks before Easter.
