Independence Day

Independence Day marks the date back on the Fourth of July in 1776 when Americans broke away from being ruled by the British Empire—and many see it as the day America was truly born.

It is one of the biggest holidays in the US, with most people taking the day off work to celebrate. There are plenty of parades, and fireworks displays in the evening.

NRF research shows that Americans spend billions on celebrating the big day, especially on food, drink, and picnic items—making it an important marketing opportunity for store owners.

Featuring red, white, and blue products—or items with stars and stripes—is an obvious move, as is promoting anything made in America.

For other merchants, you can get patriotic with email campaigns that set off fireworks (not literally) in customers’ inboxes with special discount codes and offers.
