Canada Day

Canada Day marks the day the nation was officially born, on July 1, 1867. That was when the country’s original three provinces (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and the Canada province, which is now Ontario and Quebec) united.

It’s celebrated with parades, barbecues, firework displays, and concerts, while welcome ceremonies for those who recently became citizens also take place.

The event is the most important time of the year to come together and commemorate the country - with plenty of maple leaf flags in tow. So if you’re a Canadian company, it’s a great chance to engage with your customers and say thanks with special discounts or offers.

If you’re a seller outside of Canada, you could offer free shipping to your Canadian customers on this day to mark the celebration.
